Terms of Service

Smart Chat Budget is a collaborative budget management application. It lets you create monthly or annual budgets, record expenses and incomes, share a budget with other users, and record entries by talking to an AI assistant using text, photos, PDF documents or voice messages.

You must provide a valid email address and verify it before your first sign-in.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

The AI assistant extracts amounts, dates and categories from what you send it. It can make mistakes — misread a receipt, pick the wrong amount, assign the wrong category or the wrong date.

You are responsible for checking the entries recorded on your behalf. Every expense and income can be edited or deleted from the application.

The application does not provide financial, tax, accounting, investment or legal advice. The figures, totals and alerts it displays are informational aids, not a professional opinion. Do not use them as the sole basis for a financial decision.

You agree not to use the service for unlawful purposes, not to attempt to access budgets you are not a member of, not to disrupt operation of the service, and not to circumvent the usage limits of the free plan.

You agree not to send the chatbot content that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules.

The free plan lets you create one budget and record a limited number of expenses and chat messages. These limits are shown in the application and may change.

The premium subscription removes these limits. It costs 3 USD per month and is billed through PayPal.

The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the Subscription page in your account.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The period already paid for is not refunded on a pro rata basis.

If a payment fails, PayPal will retry it. Your premium access is maintained during that period. If payment ultimately fails, the account returns to the free plan.

Use of the chatbot consumes AI tokens, deducted from the balance of the administrator of the budget concerned, whoever sent the message.

When the balance reaches zero, the chatbot stops responding in that budget until the balance is topped up. The rest of the application remains usable.

Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded.

You retain ownership of the data you enter — budgets, expenses, incomes, attachments and messages.

You grant us only the rights necessary to host that data, display it to the members of the budgets concerned and process it in order to provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.

You can delete a budget and all its data at any time if you are its administrator.

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, incidents or failures at a third-party provider may make it temporarily unavailable.

The service is provided as is, without warranty that it will meet a specific need or be free of errors.

We may change or discontinue a feature. If a change is significant, we will inform you in advance where reasonably possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us over the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect losses, in particular loss of profits, loss of opportunity or financial consequences of a decision taken on the basis of figures displayed by the application.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, in particular in the event of fraud or gross negligence.

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time.

We may suspend or close your account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after notice where circumstances allow.

On closure, your data is deleted, subject to what we are required to keep by law.

We may amend these terms. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you by email or through a notice in the application. Continuing to use the service after that notice constitutes acceptance.
